She said,
"It's the greatest thing you'll ever know"
as we, dipped our fingers in that forbidden fruit.
It was so beautiful,
and it couldn't have been the drug.
It just,
Couldn't
have been the drug.
She said,
"time doesn't float like angels here,
the wind carries us and the soft rocking of everything
keeps us in tune."
I could understand her thoughts
as her words, gently melted into me.
As she spoke of destiny and embalming
The sky flared up, and the earth took flight,
as i inhaled the last of the eternal night sky.
I said,
"The only constant we have,
is the love we make."
We never,
questioned our words that night,
because we understood everything.
She kissed me,
with a forbidden open minded grace
that left me limp, weak and torn.
I watched the beauty fade from everything
and realized nothing dies.
