When misery falls at you like a snowstorm,
in gentle lapses of frozen tears.
You gaze lightly at the sky for,
just a moments resolve.
All the while concentrating on yourself
you a subtle whispering creature
Exhale
and separate yourself from the rest of the page.
While the story trails on,
in drunken stanzas and
shoe-print
dedications.
You blink,
only to catch the last of that
elusive
slice of meteor
Stab at the atmosphere like a match on glass.
until she
quietly
crawls
away
Like you had never seen her shine.
